Land Surveys

Donnell & Allred, Inc. has been providing accurate and competitive land surveyor in the Big Horn Basin for over 70 years. Sherman Allred, P.E. & L.S., has been a licensed Professional Land Surveyor since 1979. With his vast experience in the surveying field he is able to provide timely, efficient and accurate land surveys for our clients. One of our recent projects was a utility location survey for TSP, Inc. Erik Miller of TSP remarked "I have to let you know that [this] is probably the best utility survey I've ever seen. The number of shots you guys took, and the level of detail in your notes is awesome." We also have completed hundreds of property, topographic and boundary surveys in Worland, Ten Sleep, Basin and the surrounding areas.

Our state of the art survey and computer equipment provides our clients with the best product, and in much less time than it would have taken just a few years ago. We have a complete Leica survey grade GPS system to allow a one-man crew to quickly survey with sub-centimeter accuracy. We also have a Nikon total station for traditional surveying in areas where GPS is impractical or inefficient. This instrument can take shots over a mile long in under five seconds with accuracy to less than a quarter of an inch.

Subdivisions

Donnell & Allred has the expertise, experience and tools necessary to provide our clients with a timely and cost effective subdivision plat. We also have three licensed engineers on staff to provide any necessary design for water and sewer as well as manage the permitting processes required. We have PCSurvey, computer software for surveying analysis and design, to provide accurate subdivision plats. We also have AutoCAD and Microstation available when necessary for file format conversions. We save our client costs by using PCSurvey to take a subdivision from survey data to a finished, filed plat.

Site Modeling and Well Pads

Our suite of software includes a powerful site modeling program called GEOPAK Site. We can use this program to provide our clients with 3 dimensional models including contours, cuts and fills and cross-sections. This program allows us to quickly shift items such as a well pad in any direction and immediately see the effects on earthwork quanitities, cross-sections, cuts, fills and contours. We can also generate before and after 3D visualizations to ease the clients' decision making process.
